Our Kennels

Accommodation

All our kennels are top of the range and are heated for the cold days and air conditioned for the hot days. The kennels are insulated accommodation designed to be comfortable, spacious and easy to clean. We can house all breeds of dogs from small to large and have extra large kennels for families of dogs.

To ensure the greatest comfort for your pet while in our care, please feel free to bring their favourite bedding and toys from home. Other accessories such as dog jackets and leads are also welcome although we can provide.

XL Bullies in A17 Kennels

For us to accept XL Bullies into our kennels you must produce your Certificate of Exemption, be muzzled and neutered we cannot accept any XL without this.
If we have any reason to question if your dog is an XL bully we have the right to refuse you our services. We are sure this is not going to happen but we have to act according to law.
We are an XL friendly kennel and love the breed. We want to work with owners to help them to be able to keep there dogs and still be able to go on holiday etc.

Vaccinations

We only accept animals that are fully vaccinated and also kennel cough vaccine up to date. This must be filled in correctly and signed by a qualified veterinarian. Your vets will be able to help you with this but also feel free to drop in prior to your stay if you wish us to check for you.
Kennel cough vaccine is a live vaccine and must be administered at least 14 days prior to your stay.
We do this to protect your animals and ours so please respect our rules.

Bedding

All dogs are provided with clean fresh bedding daily. If bringing in your own belongings they should be clearly labelled, and you should only bring items that we can dispose of, if they become badly chewed or damaged. Please do not bring items of sentimental or high monetary value as we cannot guarantee their safe return. We are not liable for any lost / damaged items

Medication

If medication needs to be administered this will be undertaken. Please make sure that all medication is clearly labelled.

Care & Welfare

In the unfortunate event that a guest becomes ill whilst staying with us we have access to veterinary services 24 hours a day. Our practice is The Pilgrim Veterinary Practice, 01205 366872.

Please note that if veterinary treatment is required this cost will be met by you the owner.

Please notify us on arrival of any ongoing treatments or known medical conditions affecting your dog or cat.

Please note that we reserve the right to refuse admission to A17 Kennels if any guest is showing signs of ill health and vaccinations and kennel cough are not up to date.
